“A teacher believes that if a student goes to school and raises his hand in class, he is learning. But in fact, to study is to have the ability to self-study, ”summed up Natalya Vinogradova.

Sergey Kravtsov, head of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science, outlined the task of the modern education system.

“Previously, the education system in our country performed a largely social function. Now we cannot afford it: the task of the education system is to train professional personnel for the economy of our country, ”he said.

That is why, according to the head of Rosobrnadzor, it is necessary to improve the system for assessing the quality of education.

“This function, in particular, is performed by final tests, All-Russian testing and other forms of attestation of schoolchildren and teachers,” summed up Sergey Kravtsov.

All-Russian test work (VPR) is the final test carried out in individual academic subjects to assess the level of training of schoolchildren, taking into account the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard. They are not analogous to the state final certification, but are carried out at the regional or school level.

Rector of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Mau noted that today it is almost impossible to determine specific educational priorities for future graduates.

“We do not know what the graduates will be like in 10 years, what their interests will be. Nobody knows how many doctors and teachers, lawyers and economists will be required, ”he said at the international conference“ The Image of the Future and the Competence of Graduate 2030 ”.

According to Vladimir Mau, scientists-philosophers will remain among the “eternal professions” that the country needs. The rector of the RANEPA also suggested that one of the trends of the future will be continuous education and the obligatory and regular change of professions.

“There will be no given structure of specialties, the school and the university will not teach specific specialties, but the ability to constantly learn,” he stressed, adding that with the rate of updating the qualifications of specialists, this is especially important. Another important trend will be the strengthening of the role of secondary vocational education.

“The demand for open source software is much higher than 2-3 years ago, and this is not an attempt to get away from the USE, but an attempt to“ integrate ”into the system of lifelong education, to divide the growth system into more fractional parts,” says Vladimir Mau.

He also noted that currently there is a certain conflict between the content of education and competencies.

“We must focus on knowledge, it is they, and not artificially designated competences, that train the brain. Competencies do not mean anything without knowledge, ”stressed the rector of the RANEPA.

At the same time, the educational content itself must change: it is necessary not only to digitize existing textbooks, but to transform them in accordance with modern requirements. As for higher education, in this segment one can note the cooperation of universities and the growing humanitarianization of education: there is a demand for the introduction of technical universities of courses in the history of art, culture and literature.

“Interuniversity integration will essay about teachers as my hero be an important element for capturing and retaining the best graduates,” summed up Vladimir Mau.
